A New Era of European Transport – Challenges of the TEN-T Policy

Poland is set to host the “A New Era of European Transport – Challenges of the TEN-T Policy” conference on February 13, 2025. The event, organized by the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union and the Ministry of Infrastructure, will discuss the future of European transport policy.
Investment requirements, geopolitical problems, digitalisation, decarbonisation, and funding for transport infrastructure are all important topics. The conference will also cover airport and maritime development, transportation system resilience, and dual-use civil-military infrastructure.

SURE Network Next Generation Forum Feb. 10-14th

The SURE Network is inviting the next generation of landscape architects, planners, designers, and urban thinkers to participate in the development of the Eurodelta mega-region.
The Next Generation Podium for Eurodelta 2025 is a week-long symposium that will take place online from February 10-14, 2025. The conference will consist of a three-day lunch forum on February 10-12 and a two-day online symposium on February 13-14. The lunch forums will focus on three themes: Circular (Built) Delta, Accessible (Rail) Delta, and Inclusive (Water) Delta. The two-day working conference will see students working in groups to develop their strategic spatial plan for the megaregion, under the supervision of experts. Public Consultation on Public Procurement Directives

The European Commission is conducting an evaluation of public procurement directives across the EU, aiming to assess their effectiveness in promoting competition, increasing SMEs’ participation, simplifying procurement processes, ensuring transparency, and promoting a greener economy. The consultation seeks evidence and stakeholder perspectives on the directive’s relevance in the face of evolving circumstances and challenges. The call for evidence and open public consultation is open until 7 March 2025, and the European Commission invites interested parties to submit feedback and share their views.
