The third meeting of the North Sea–Rhine–Mediterranean (NSRM) Corridor Forum took place on November 17th, with more than 80 stakeholders participating. This meeting helped advance toward the first Corridor Work Plan, set for release in 2026.
Countries from the Corridor shared their development progress on the national level concerning the rollout of the TEN-T Policy. The NSRM study team presented insights for the upcoming Work Plan and updated the 2026 Project List. The NSRM Rail Freight Governance revealed an implementation roadmap to enhance rail freight performance. EU Transport and CINEA outlined results from the 2024 CEF Transport calls, updates on the new Multiannual Financial Framework and CEF III proposals, along with the Commission’s communication on high-speed rail.
With its 25 members from 5 countries representing the regional, local level, Director Cecilia Braun, attended the Corridor Forum for the Interregional Alliance for the Rhine-Alpine Corridor EGTC. Her participation affirmed the Alliance’s commitment to a coordinated, sustainable corridor strategy. At the Forum, Dr. Braun joined stakeholders in reviewing progress on transport integration, shaping the new TEN-T approach, and advancing the NSRM Work Plan for release in 2026.
Corridor Coordinator Prof. Paweł Wojciechowski concluded by summarising recent NSRM Corridor achievements and previewing key events for 2026.
