The conference brought together expert speakers and attendees who engaged in stimulating discussions on the future of the Rhine-Alpine Corridor. Workshop TEN-T & Urban Nodes during European Week of Regions and Cities

The European Commission approved the revised TEN-T regulation on July 18th 2024 with a clear focus on connecting and strengthening urban nodes. In this context, a interesting session was held in Brussels on October 9th during the European Week of Regions and Cities.
The focus was on the elaboration of the TEN-T changes, the importance of Urban Nodes and their effects on Groene Metropoolregio Arnhem-Nijmegen. During this session, the Director of the Interregional Alliance for the Rhine-Alpine Corridor EGTC (EGTC RALP), Dr. Cecilia Braun, shared her insights concerning the TEN-T Revision, the roles of the EGTC RALP s and of Urban Node in this context.

On the 5th of November Railforum Netherlands will organize an event at Schiphol Airport Amsterdam about international rail, multimodality, and air-rail integration.
The event explores the value of international connections, perceptions of aviation and rail sectors in Europe, the Netherlands, and Amsterdam, and their interconnectedness. Amsterdam plans to enhance international accessibility to major European cities, while Schiphol and Paris airports discuss air-rail integration and multimodality. Rail operators discuss long-distance trains and air-rail integration.
